Burda Style & Fitz Patterns
**everything you see is a pattern from Burda Style**
Sew...this is a post for people who sew or wanna sew. Burda Style allows you to download patterns onto your printer and FOR FREE, yes for free! They have created an online pattern community: you can download a very easy to a super difficult pattern, print, cut & sew and then upload your finished product onto their site with a link to your Etsy shop (meaning you can sell what you make). They offer tutorials for all sorts of things like stamping with bleach, sewing in a zipper, making gathers or--for the very brave-- making a duct tape dress form. I love the Sewpedia, where you can look up anything and for all of us sartorialists an online dictionary of sewing really rocks. If you have more in-depth questions they have a super user friendly forum. Oh--you can also download the patterns and print them at a copy shop.
Downloading! It's not just the new wave in music ---who wooda thought, sewing patterns?...pretty rad! I know that there are a couple of other companies offering downloadable patterns...a sweet one to check out is called Fitz patterns:the prices are fair and the patterns are super cute. They even have some hot styles for the boys.
