Having Brooklyn General in my neighborhood makes life dangerous for a person like me....like the name says it's a general store for crafty types of all ages. DANGER. Let me be clear within the "general" context they only carry the nicest of the nice in every shade of the rainbow. From my favorite lollipops, wool roving, vintage & new fabric, milk paint, dye, hand-dyed embroidery floss, buttons, honey, hooks 'n needles, notions, REAL wool felt, all kinds of ribbon, modeling wax, real beeswax crayons, felting supplies & the most amazing selection of books and patterns. So now they've upped the ante--they got Cal Patch to teach some classes! OUCH!@#$ Whaddem I gonna do? I gotta take her classes cuz Cal is the master teacher...it's like hanging with the Obe One Kenobi of craft (and Gertie is her Yoda). The thing is if you want to learn something, or get better at something, and the universe aligns in your favor then you should take a class from Cal, OK? Do I need to say more? SO, go get all your supplies from the wonderful Brooklyn General and get ready to LEARN and have fun.
Hey, for all you locals it's in the old "Frank's department store" space..Brooklyn General made the space gorgeous...I mean stupendous just pop your head in for a look, well and some fab yarn!
